Class with Kaelynn KK Harris!

IMG_2055

I got the chance to take a class with KK Harris! If anyone loves to dance I highly recommend taking her class. We learned her choreography to Missy Elliott’s song “Pass that Dutch,” and although it was very challenging, I had a lot of fun being in her class and I learned so much. A word of advice to everyone; don’t be afraid to take a chance and just go after your dreams. Now is the time to focus on yourself so just go for it! Do the things that you love.

Coming Back to School

Coming back to school after a long winter break is a great feeling. It is the start of a new semester and it feels as if again, you can start fresh. You get the chance to forget about the drama from last semester, to move on from the guy who played with your emotions, and another chance to meet even more people. It is the start of new classes, and at this time you promise yourself that you will be doing everything in your power to get good grades and make Dean’s List.

But of course we all know that things never go the way that we plan or want them to. So it’s important to keep in mind to make this semester count. Make sure you don’t let others distract you from reaching your success, and that no matter what you keep your happiness. Happiness is key. So make sure you take the time to hang with your friends, keep up with your schoolwork, and make great memories.

Food is always a necessity with a breakup. Chocolate, candy, junk food, it all helps. Don’t be afraid to take a drive to Walgreens and splurge on some candy.

The New Dating Game of our Generation

Dating has changed. There was a time when people once called instead of texted. A time when the guy would actually drive to the girl’s house, pick her up from the front door step, and maybe even hand her flowers. Obviously with today’s technology and our generation, times have changed. Both men and women have gotten lazy when it comes to dating, and the rules have changed with what is considered to be a relationship. Here are a few things that are now apart of our generation’s dating world.

1. “We should chill.”

Chill? Oh is that your way of asking me out? Because I don’t want to “chill” but if you want to ask me out properly to go see a movie or get dinner then that would be fine. Now some guys have asked me to chill, and I understand that because I chill with my friends, or at home when I’m having a lazy day, but if you intend on asking me out or impressing me, then use another set of words.

Struggles of a College Student Being Home for Summer Break

1. I miss sooo many of my friends from college

2. There is nothing to do in my small town

3. I only have a few friends from high school that I care to see

4. Doing nothing can get boring really fast. I would rather go to classes and do something with my life than sit at home and watch TV all day.

4. It is extremely difficult to find a job here at home, but at school there is always work study!

5. I miss my dance team, and I was so much more active at school.

6. On that note, I’m pretty sure I’ve gained weight from being at home.

7. I don’t want to cook food, and it is so much easier when you can just grab something from the cafeteria and go back to your room.

8. INDEPENDENCY and FREEDOM!! Living on my own. I need it. Now.

9. Texting your friends from college is not the same. You were so used to seeing them everyday.

10. I am counting down the days until I am back at a place that has become my other home.
